SRRC Seniors

Our Senior squads make up the competitive backbone of the club and compete year-round at a State pennant level and at the Nationals. Led by head coach Mark Beer, the seniors train 4 to 6 times a week in singles and crew boats. The club also holds several land-based sessions per week including ergometer, strength, flexibility, and aerobic sessions in the afternoons for athletes looking to make serious fitness gains.

At Swans we have a proud heritage of producing Australian representatives in all age groups and are one of two WA High Performance clubs in partnership with the West Australian Institute of Sport. Whether you’re looking to make a national team, build fitness, or race at the State Champs, our programme can help you reach your personal goals.

Pathways Partner Club

Swan River Rowing Club is proud to be a WAIS/Rowing WA Pathway Partner Club, with the club working in partnership with WAIS, Rowing Australia and Rowing WA in the identification and development of rowers who have the potential to be selected for Rowing Australia’s (RA) national training centres and/or an Australian Team and ultimately achieve podium results at benchmark events.

We have been a Pathway Partner Club since the inception of the program and have worked with athletes over the past several years, to attain State and National Team representation at Junior, U21, U23 and Senior Level.

We have a great club history in the development of State and Australian representatives, including Olympic representatives and medallists. Our coaches are always happy to answer any questions.about the process of selection and trialling for Australian teams. At Swans we aim to facilitate each and every member’s goals, whatever these may be. Many athletes have competed for Australia and gone through this process and would also be happy to guide and answer any questions you may have.

As one of premier rowing clubs in Australia, we have also had several visiting athletes from various countries train out of the club and with our members over the years. We are proud of our clubs ability to compete on the national stage, and look forward to welcoming and working with the next generation of state and national champions.
